Our friends at Bankhall are holding a series of investment workshops over the next few weeks as part of their Spring Investment Series. We’ve seen the schedule and they cover relevant topics from a range of speakers such as Aviva, Architas and Prudential. The sessions also offer a roundup of the regulatory landscape, plus an in-depth look at IFA Investment processes, research and due diligence requirements in light of the FCA’s recent paper.

Providers will be on hand to discuss the pensions reforms one year on, plus give an overview of the investment market and how current volatility continues to challenge the advisory task of meeting customer requirements.

Specifically, the agenda includes;

» Bankhall Regulatory Update. What’s new on the regulatory horizon, with an insight into good and poor practice when it comes to complaints handling. Capital adequacy requirements and future changes will also be discussed, along with a preview of the new Bankhall Product filtering tool.

» Bankhall Technical Update. Looking at IFA Investment processes, research and supporting due diligence requirements in line with the FCAs TR16 paper. Another vital area we will concentrate on is risk mapping misalignment.

» Investment Market Update from Architas, who will explore key themes and opportunities across a range of asset classes globally and what this means for client portfolios and your reviews.

» The Investment Conundrum from Prudential. Addressing issues such as risk, reward, volatility, income and tax. How do you meet the challenge of matching customer needs and objectives?

» Pensions Freedoms, one year on. AVIVA will probe moral, ethical and specific business challenges that may occur with older clients. As an industry we now have accurate data regarding the sizes of funds and actions taken and this session will help you cope better with the advice requirements in this growing market.

» Mergers & Acquisitions. A quick overview to help you start planning well in advance, whether you are looking to grow by acquisition or indeed, looking to be acquired.
