We do not work with individual clients, which limits conflicts of interest, and allows us to focus on activities that add value to adviser businesses. Our unique “stabiliser and growth” investment process manages risk and outcomes within client portfolios. Tacit Investment Management was established in 2010 by a small team of some of the most experienced and respected investment managers in the industry.

We offer expert investment management through financial advisers and their platforms. One word sums up our approach: focus.

Focus is what has driven our industry recognised performance, including accolades such as the prestigious Citywire award in 2017 for Best Small Discretionary Investment Manager and the shortlist for the Investment Week Specialist Investment Awards as Discretionary Fund Management Group of the Year. It is also why the advisers who rely on us to deliver investment management for their clients like us so much.

FOUR INVESTMENT STRATEGIES

We only offer four strategies, appropriate for most UK-based investors. Our experience shows that investors can easily understand these simple, clear choices, and it makes it easier for them with their advisers to make the right choice.

Each portfolio is mapped to a number of risk profiles commonly used by financial advisers and actively managed in response to markets. There will be points in the cycle when we feel confident and are keen to make hay while the sun is shining. There will be times when we are more defensively positioned. Advisers do not need to worry about switching clients from portfolio to portfolio depending on the market cycle.

We can also run the entire Centralised Investment Proposition for a financial advice firm. Also known as ‘in-sourcing’ this involves delivering everything from the investment portfolios, to creating custom factsheets, reports and delivering management information.
