If you regularly read our content you will know that our friends at AKG provide Financial Strength ratings, which we believe should form an integral part of your research and due diligence processes. This week the team at AKG are celebrating three years since the launch of their DFM sector, so we wanted to shout out ‘Happy Birthday’ and revisit how these ratings can be used by our readers.

On 28th July 2016 the DFM sector launched and with it came the distribution of AKG’s first DFM financial strength ratings and assessment reports. Below are the full details of the DFM sector reports, with links to find out more.

Supporting adviser due diligence

The requirement for advisers, both those considering partners for the first time and those re-assessing existing partners, to better understand their DFM business partners by carrying out more comprehensive due diligence is evident. And this is backed by a regulatory focus on due diligence processes when selecting solutions and partners. AKG’s financial strength ratings are designed with the end customer in mind and specifically for use by financial advisers. Their purpose is to provide a key contributory component to and advice firms robust research and due diligence processes.
